| I have just received this item & as I happen to own the original version, I was interested to see how it would compare.
I am hard pressed to tell the difference even on close inspection this looks feels and indeed pretty much writes as the real thing...superb quality for a fraction of the cost.

| Lost my original Mount Blanc Fountain pen at a conference. As soon as my pen arrived I filled it and was amazed at how smooth and flawlessly the pen performed. Looks exactly like my lost pen. I prefer a fine point and this is more medium, but otherwise it is worth the price and then some!! | |

| I held this pen under a bright light to check to see if the resin was good quality. Genuine Mont Blanc Pens glow red under a bright light because they are not black, but a very deep dark red. This pen passed the test along with every other detail. However the weight of the pen is a real give away. It is far too light and lacks the reassuring weight a real Mont Blanc has. If you have ever picked up and even written with the real macoy, you instantly know its valuable and a treasure. That's not what you get with this. My advice would be to not expect to fool anyone with this replica, but if you are getting it for the design then go ahead!
The pen box again is a little disappointing and certainly wouldn't fool anyone.
All in all a satisfactory pen.
